Clark's Update

Since Amy put me on the spot I figured I would throw out an update.

Life is good. Amy has a teaching Job to look forward to and I rarely have to working anything but normal business hours. That will continue for about another year since I am going to take on some new opportunities at work. Not to mention I'm the backup person to travel to Moscow in June, but the backups never get to go so its just a happy thought for now.

We just decided (Yesterday) to take a quick vacation to Universal Studios in Orlando. We had Dealta travel vouchers from a pervious trip that we needed to use so why not right? So we leave April 16th for a 3 day gettaway. I know we are both looking forward to it as we will both be working a lot this summer. Not to mention we get to eat at Texas de Brazil and use my B-day coupon!

We are enjoying the spring weather. Some of our garden has been planted. I built another garden box last week with some scrap wood. We planted all our seeds and they are starting to sprout in our starter greenhouse. So far the dogs dont seem too interested in the new garden box but we will see how that goes.

Lets hope we are more committed to updating our Blog!

Amy's updates

Ok, so its obviously been a while since our last post. "Someone" dropped the ball here.

Anyways. I have been "talking" with a private Christian school recently. They posted a job at the beginning of February and after a lengthy courtship, its official. As of yesterday I am their new math teacher! I couldn't be more excited. I will be doing what I love and have students that will, for the most part, want to learn. My last job almost shattered my whole perspective on teaching. It was demanding with very little reward. The few (very few) dedicated students I had were the only thing keeping me going. I love math and I love teaching, but teaching to those who would much rather have a relationship with their electronic devices than listen to anything I had to say is discouraging. With all that said, I am very hopeful in this position and I believe God has given me this opportunity. (On a side note: In one of my interviews, the head of the math department insinuated that she had many many applicants to choose from, but picked my resume out because of my computer science experience. I could not have been more thankful that God gave me the Grissom job. If it wasn't for Grissom, this might not be where I am right now.)

I am also starting my "summer job" tomorrow. I am fairly certain that they will have me working most evenings. It doesn't seem ideal to rarely see my spouse during the week, especially for a newlywed, but I told Clark I would have a great attitude no matter how difficult the schedule turns out to be. I hope he keeps me accountable to that promise. "Woo-hoo! I love fro-yo!!" (That's me being positive)

Quinn and Xander are doing great. Thank you for asking. I will tell Clark to post ASAP!
